We’re a traditional English Inn only a few miles from York city centre, located on the banks of the river Ouse, in the lovely village of Acaster Malbis. We offer good home cooked food, great local ales and comfortable rooms for a restful nights stay.

Phill and Vicky welcome locals and visitors alike to the wonderful city of York. We are working hard to make The Ship Inn a friendly location for all, serving great food and drink produced with love.

With over 20 years experience as a chef, Phill brings his extensive knowledge & skills to The Ship Inn. He designs the menu’s, featuring heart warming dishes made from locally sourced produce.

OUR FOOD AND MENUS

Inside there is a cosy bar & dining area with a real open fire, where you can enjoy local ale & fresh home cooked food. We have a separate beautiful restaurant that is perfect for romantic diners. There is also a large function room that can be used for private events. Dogs are welcome in the bar & beer garden, on a lead.

COSY PUB, RESTAURANT AND FUNCTION SPACE

We provide 6 ensuite rooms with very comfortable beds to ensure a relaxing & restful nights stay. Ample on site parking is available. And Phill prepares an outstanding breakfast not to be missed!
